Not everyone needs or is required to undergo an ECG. People who have no symptoms of heart disease and who are also at low risk for a heart attack will not be immediately advised to undergo an electrocardiogram test, you can check it at Yishun clinic

Electrocardiography is usually intended specifically for people who have or are at risk of:

• Heart rate irregularity (arrhythmia).

• Blockage or narrowing of the heart arteries (coronary arteries). Clogged arteries are a big risk factor for chest pain related to heart problems and heart attacks.

• Structural problems in the chambers or chambers of the heart.

• A history of heart attack, previous experience or risk of heredity; including if you don’t currently display any symptoms about heart disease.

ECG can also monitor the effectiveness of the treatment of heart disease that is being undertaken, therefore you need to consult directly with Doctor in Yishun

What is the EKG examination process?

The process of electrocardiography is fairly short and painless. You will be assisted by a specialist doctor or medical staff who have been trained in this matter.

Before the test begins, GP in Yishun will usually ask you to remove all jewelry, watches, or other metal objects attached to the body. Then you will be asked to change clothes to a medical gown. Don’t worry, your vital organs will still be covered because these special clothes will only show the necessary parts.

Afterward, the medical staff will attach the electrodes to the skin of your chest. If your chest has hair, the medical team may shave it as needed so the electrodes can stick closely to the skin. In addition to the chest, electrodes will also be attached to the arms and legs with the help of adhesive gel.

During the inspection process, you will be asked to lie down. The electrodes attached to your body have an electric cable that is connected to an ECG machine. Your heartbeat is then recorded through the machine so the doctor will know how well the electrical signal activity in your heart.

ECG results appear in graphical form that will show whether your heart rate is normal or not. If the test results are declared normal, you do not need further tests. Conversely, if it turns out the test shows there are problems with the heart, inevitably you have to do further tests.
